Thank you to all of our visitors who came to Apple Day 2025. The sun shone, the apples were juicy, visitors drank and ate and bought produce, plants, gifts and raffle tickets. The feedback was very positive from traders, entertainers and visitors alike and we think everyone went home happy.

Details of entertainment, activities and stall holders/partners that attended are below.

The apples and juice on sale were from the Jubilee Orchard and Walled Garden here at Cressing Temple. The Jubilee Orchard was planted near the Visitor Centre in 1993 to celebrate the Queen’s fortieth jubilee. Nine varieties of apple tree traditional to East Anglia were planted, of these nine varieties, six originate from Essex. This is one of the most significant collections of traditional apples in the region. The trees are now mature, an attractive sight in the spring, and a particular highlight of autumn for us is the harvest of apples for our Apple Day.
