The Friends of Cressing Temple

About the Friends

The Friends of Cressing Temple Gardens was set up in 2013, initially to support the gardens at Cressing Temple in central Essex.  They work with the Head Gardener to provide financial and practical support for garden maintenance and specific projects and in partnership with Essex County Council who manage the site.

The Friends of Cressing Temple Gardens became a registered charity in April 2016 (registered charity No. 1166431).

In 2020 the group became ‘The Friends of Cressing Temple’ in recognition of their support for the whole site, not just the gardens. They continue to support the work of the site staff and Essex County Council to maintain and fund improvements to the historic buildings, grounds and gardens.

By becoming a Friend of Cressing Temple you join a group who really care about preserving this historic site.’
